Our business is very pleased with the DataTrace DNA product. Over the past nine months, we have placed the product on our critical infrastructure such as electric substations including the overt warning signage as recommended by DataDot P/L. Since the application of DataTrace DNA , our business has suffered two thefts. This compares with 46 thefts in the 18 months preceding the application.

Alinta East has also forged a close relationship with Police by assisting to identify seized metal products including the use of the DataTrace DNA reader on the metal product.

Alinta also supports the association that DataDot has with Crimestoppers Australia, viewing their involvement as a cornerstone to the Alinta East community awareness program .

As a leader in the delivery of electricity to the major cities in NSW, we at Energy Australia are always pursuing opportunities to improve our efficiencies. Theft is an ongoing problem for many large utility companies such as ours. Theft costs the company in many ways, mainly through the costs of replacing stolen equipment and loss productivity.

Energy Australia is a security conscious organization we are always looking at ways to improve on our security measures. We made a decision to adopt the use of DataDot DNA in 2005 as part of our strategy to upgrade security within Energy Australia. We were drawn to this technology as its application was appropriate to both our office equipment such as computers and tradesman s tools whether they be in a depot or on a work site. DataDot DNA allowed us to pursue property marking in a manner that was both efficient and effective. We thought this additional security measure would complement and support the existing security measures we have in place. Marking our property means all our equipment can be easily identified and stolen goods returned when they are found.

The use of DataDot DNA is also supported by police warning signs that are erected around Depots and stickers are placed on all marked equipment. The DataDot DNA security measures have worked to reduce theft by way of notifying thieves that all Energy Australia property is marked for identification. DataDot DNA has provided Energy Australia with a cost effective way to reduce theft .

Golden Grove Scaffold Hire
We had $4000 worth of scaffolding stolen we made staff aware that the scaffolding was marked with DataDots. A few days later it was dumped and we recovered it. Neeldless to say we think DataDots have been a good investment for us already
