DataTraceDNA® - What is it?

DataTrace was created through a joint venture between CSIRO and DataDot Technology. DataTrace offers a ground breaking approach for security protection through nanotechnology. Tracers can be invisibly embedded within the molecular structure of a manufactured product such as paint, coatings, plastics, concrete, and paper. The technology originated in the polymer banknote invention.

Each molecular tracer has a unique identification code i.e. your business name or ABN number. Once added the Tracers allow you to identify your product.

The DataTrace can be read using a portable digital reader. The Authenticator (pictured), is a powerful smart device that instantly validates the product that contains DataTrace.

The DataTracers are clear and tough enough to persist in any conditions for the life of the product. DataTrace DNA is also available in a spray can format similar to DataDotDNA.

DataTraceDNA® - A Loss Prevention Solution

DataTrace is a simple-to-use and very effective method of marking items for permanent identification and authentification of your products.

Our Loss Prevention Solution using DataTraceDNA® includes:

	Marking all equipment with DataTrace using the spray can or by adding the molecular structure to your manufactured product.
	Placing police warning stickers on all marked items.
	Use police warning signage, such as stickers or signs, on doors, windows, gates, fences etc to alert would be thieves to the security measures in place.
	Notifying staff of improved security measures through staff newsletters and internal emails.
	Notifying all current sub-contractors who visit your worksite of your new security measures and new sub-contractors that you engage. Encourage all sub-contractors to mark their property to discourage theft.
	Contact your local media outlets to alert the community to your security measures
